Dazing reuniting with Misfits for the first time since 1983, playing Riot Fest

Yesterday, Riot Fest posted a teaser video that flashed the Misfits skull and told us we’d find out more today. If you saw it and shrugged, thinking it’s just be another Jerry Only-led Misfits show where maybe they’d play a classic Danzig-led album in full like they did on a tour last year that included This is Hardcore), think again.

Glenn Danzig, Doyle and Jerry Only will play together as the Misfits for the first time since 1983! Danzig and Doyle have had their own version of the band going, and obviously so did Jerry, but Danzig’s longtime lawsuits with Jerry made this reunion seem about as unlikely as Axl and Slash reuniting. But hey if that can happen…

The Misfits will play both Riot Fest Denver (Sept. 2-4) and Chicago (Sept. 16-18). Tickets for both fests are on sale now.

Full Riot Fest lineups coming soon. No word yet if the reunited Misfits have other dates planned, but stay tuned to find out.
