Japan's Sabbat announce North & South American tour

. . .

Japanese cult favorites Sabbat will return for their first US dates in more than 8 years.

Coming up later this year, Sabbat has some rare US and South American tour dates coinciding with their “Sabbatrinity World Tour”. They’ll be playing a few shows in Japan, then crossing over for two shows, one on each coast (they haven’t played on our shores since 2005), followed by several South America dates.

Sabbat formed in the early 1980s, and thanks to prolific output of singles and splits, slowly grew their notoriety outside of their home country. They’ve been sidelined by several lineup changes which led to long periods of inactivity, such as a 7-year period in between their last two albums, 2003’s Karmagmassacre and 2011’s Sabbatrinity. (But take a look at their Wikipedia page for a complete discography . . . they have been mega productive during the times when they could be.) They’ve promised a few releases this year, including …and the Queen of Witches (working title) from RIP Records, …to Praise the Sabbatical Queen from German label Iron Pegasus (home of their last 4 albums), and Mion’s Hill, also via Iron Pegasus and slated to contain previously unreleased mixes and live versions of their classic song of the same name. Catch them if you can, you lucky few.
