Exclusive Track Premiere: Raven - "Fight"

To me, Raven has always been one of metal’s most endearing bands. Their zaniness and boundless energy go hand in hand with the sheer positivity they exude onstage. You’d have to be a metal grinch to not smile when John Gallagher lets out one of his signature nut-busting screams.

The NWOBHM vets are releasing ExtermiNation, their first studio outing in six years, on April 22nd, pursuant to a rather successful Kickstarter campaign to fund the record. While Raven have nearly always been a reliably sturdy studio act, there’s a bite and foaming snarl to the riffs on ExtermiNation that hasn’t been heard from these guys in a good while.

Check out “Fight” below. It’s an archetypical statement of purpose track for Raven, declaring their unrelenting perseverance and an assurance that they will continue to rock until we drop, just as they first promised 34 years ago. It’s but a small hint of the athletic shenanigans contained within ExtermiNation, Raven’s strongest outing in over 25 years.
