Those of us who grew up digging death and black metal records out of bargain bins probably never thought that a tour like this year’s Metal Alliance was even remotely possible. I mean, overtly Satanic and sonically-crushing bands playing huge national tours in large concert halls? Come on, this isn’t Germany.
But here we are, preparing for Metal Alliance 2014, featuring the looming death metal of Behemoth, the cutthroat black thrash of Goatwhore, the searing, grandiose attack of 1349, and the roiling cosmic filth of Inquisition. (I’ve never heard of Black Crown Initiate, but they’ve got their work cut out for them.) This is not simply an awesome line-up, it’s an important one, bringing together some of the underground’s finest and putting them on stages they deserve.
And we have tickets for you. We’re giving away tickets for shows in LA, Dallas, Houston, Philly, Chicago, and New York City.
