Six years in the making, powerviolence gods Iron Lung are back with their new LP White Glove Test. Stream two new tracks from the LP and check out a video for “Pain Directive” below. Order yours via the band. The fascinating the about ordering the new LP is the digital download, which features “the music album, a companion noise album and a combination of the two for a total of three separate but equal annihilations”. Sounds like a bargain to me.
Iron Lung will hit the road for dates in celebration of the new effort. Look for them in a town near you.

“White Glove Test” is a Co-release between San Francisco’s Hardcore Stalwart PRANK RECORDS -who released the band’s 2007 “Sexless/ No Sex” LP/CD and the band’s own IRON LUNG RECORDS imprint. The band just embarked on a month and a half long North American tour, and is selling a limited 2XLP version on the Road, but Prank is handling the mailorder of both the Limited edition 2XCD version and the Regular LP’s. The link above has a link to Prank’s site, but you can hit it directly at : http://www.prankrecords.bigcartel.com/
Yeah, not a big deal, but they’re not really powerviolence (who is at this point?), and from the preview they sound more like fast hardcore than ever before. Love this band. Buy this record. Support.
Perhaps, but “powerviolence” is how they self-describe; their Bandcamp is ironlungpv.bandcamp.com.
Huh. yeah, weird. Oh well. They’re good.
Yeah! What we call matters less than how much this album rules.
I think it was Eric Wood who said that Iron Lung and The Endless Blockade were the only two current bands deserving of the “power violence” genre tag. I could be wrong, it could have been someone else
They’re powerviolence, shut the fuck up. You’re from BV, aren’t you? Did BV send you?
