Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Philadelphia-by-way-of-Arizona thrash crew Vektor played Saint Vitus in Brooklyn last night (Feb 15th) as part of a larger tour, snagging support from Warr-wielding badasses Behold… The Arctopus, Vaporizer, and noisy-death metal oddity Pyrrhon. Despite tough competition from Testament/Overkill across town and those with a box of Russell Stover in tow, the show was a well-attended Thursday night for the Greenpoint venue. Pictures and video from the anti-Valentine’s Day are below.

EXCELLENT shot of Doug clutching the invisible orange to kick this piece off- nicely done!
Based on these photos, it looks like bands were booked in order depending on the length of the vocalist’s hair (leaving out Behold .. the Arctopus, who are from another planet and thus don’t count).
Seriously though, kind of a shame that Vektor, probably the most interesting of the new-ish thrash bands, played on the same night as Overkill and Testament. Glad there was still a crowd though.
The singer in Pyrrhon is the metal Freddy Mercury
Freddie Mercury ruled. I am flattered by the comparison.
Freddy Mercury was the metal Freddy Mercury (see ‘Ogre Battle’)
