Norwegian progressive black metal crew Enslaved’s tour with Pallbearer, Royal Thunder and Ancient VVisdom came to a close at Bowery Ballroom on Friday night (2/22), capping off a North American stint with that final show in NYC. The rendez-vous went down on the same night that Deafheaven teamed with Sannhet to play the latter’s record release show at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn (pictures/video).

I’m furious that I missed this tour: I got snowed out of it by a blizzard. Not only did I miss Enslaved but the CVI vinyl is sold out? Pissed. At least I get to see RT on Friday.
Sounds like things got messy for Enslaved, saw em in Boston but they came on late due to bus issues. The mix and the crowd sucked too!
I was there. Such an odd crowd. A mosh pit during Enslaved. Really? It was pretty bizarre but Pallbearer absolutely crushed it.
BUT DOOD, IT IS EVERYONE’S INALIENABLE RIGHT TO MOSH ANYWHERE IN THE ROOM AT ANY METAL SHOW, WHY ARE YOU CONFUSED???
i love the photos of the merch- always like to see what bands are selling and, when i go to a gig, buying a shirt is one of the highlights of the night for me- and if a band has bad merch, or are running out of my size (!) it can put a bit of a dampner on things for me!
Great photos as usual, though I have to say I kind of miss the actual reviews that used to accompany these.
This show was great. I want more metal diversity like this in touring packages.
Pallbearer. I think they were tripping balls.
