Acid Deathtrip bring profane, blues-filled sludge to another level. Not afraid to be sleazy or sexual in lyrics or guitar riff, AD will be the first to show up with a heaping platter of goat meat to a pagan worship potluck.
Today it is our privilege to debut the video for “Raising The Chalice”, coming from the band’s self-titled release with Reflections Records, due out March 18th. The video combines what seems to be film footage of 70s or early 80s era B-movie slasher films with the bellowing vocals and skull crushing instrumentation. Check it out below:

Doesn’t sound like much of a retro band to me. Obviously there’s influence from old school heavy/doom bands but the sludge aspect makes it more modern sounding. Cool song.
Reminds me (the video probably helps lead to that) a fair bit of Cathedral. I approve!
