For some time, SVN OKKLT has been a treasure trove of obscure lo-fi black and death metal mp3s tucked into a dusty corner of the web. Visited by those seeking rips of small press cassettes and vinyl, SVN OKKLT has been one hell of a resource, bringing albums and demos, often limited to editions of 100 or less, from bands like Xothist, Rhinocervs, Monarque, Forteresse, Trist and many more to a wider audience.
SVN OKKLT works closely with many of the bands that have been featured on the blog, and to showcase some of the best of the best, SVN OKKLT has put together a double cassette of new material from “SVN OKKLT” bands—some that have been featured on SVN OKKLT before, others that are in keeping with the aesthetic and values the blog embraces.
Stream the SVN OKKLT compilation below. The comp is available for purchase from Fallen Empire Records, a close affiliate of SVN OKKLT, and will be available to download, for free, from the Fallen Empire Bandcamp on Monday (where you’ll also find a number of other “Name Your Price” goodies.) Some early favorites are tracks from Witch in Her Tomb, Tardigrada, Xothist, and Dressed in Streams.

been waiting to hear this since they announced it, holy shit this made my day
Sun Okklt!!!!! over and out.
Death Fortress, Sylvus and Gevurah all have stand out tracks but Tardigrada, Dressed in Streams and Jute Gyte are ahead of everyone else.
I should add that the album will also be available to download for free from SVN OKKLT on Monday.
Free or pay what you want? I always pay something when it’s the latter. You know, out of guilt.
It will be free on SVN, pay what you want on the Fallen Empire bandcamp.
that Axis of Light track, holy shit
Thanks for the interest everybody, we’re as excited about this one as you are. Also yes, the Axis of Light track is truly something else.
Well, Svn Okklt has a ridiculous amount of cool stuff. Is it safe to assume that anything I download from that site was uploaded there with the band’s permission?
Nearly everything. We like to be in contact with the people whose music we’re supporting, however some people are very hard to reach. However, we make it a very important point if we have not been able to reach them directly, only post music that is no longer in print of available for purchase, or link to the label’s site where distro is available. We’re all about the artists getting the recognition they deserve first and foremost.
The vast majority, to my understanding, is band approved.
Thanks. There’s a lot there to digest. I downloaded the first thing they had listed alphabetically–a split between A Pregnant Light and a band called Obscure Lupine Quietus–and it is quite good. I’m a physical media guy still, but I’m not going to buy cassettes, so it’s nice to be able to download this stuff without doing so illegally.
That Jute Gyte track is fucking awesome.
Listening to RH-11 right now, and wow is it great stuff. Now I feel stupid for sleeping on all the stuff covered in FF /RR just because I don’t like cassettes. Lesson learned.
Very cool. Excellent to see this.
been waiting a long time for this, so glad to finally be able to listen.
and svn okklt is the best blog out there.
Wow so now we give nazi bands a “hey, check it out” without so much as a heads-up, eh? Cool I guess
I’m not sure what you’re talking about here, no bands included in anything we do will ever be aligned with NSBM or extreme right-wing politics/social issues. That largely goes against the whole our ideals.
death fortress has fucking FL studio FPC drum machine drums
