Exclusive Song Stream: Inter Arma’s “’sblood”

I’ve been tracking the growth of the Richmond heavy music scene for many years now. The Virginia capitol city is clearly a hot-bed for excellent music, and one band that has always stood out amongst the pack was Inter Arma. I even invited them to play my CMJ showcase in 2010 (along with a young band by the name of Royal Thunder).

The band has released a few EPs and long-players in the years since, but none have realized their potential up until now; Inter Arma are on the verge of something great with their new record Sky Burial. Due on March 19th via Relapse Records, the five-piece organically combines southern grooves, black metal and doom to create their best release yet. It’s melodic, melancholic, pummeling, and very repeatable. Check out the newest song to slip out of the gate from the record, “’sblood”, below for the first time.

As discussed, Invisible Oranges is proud to sponsor the forthcoming Mutilation Rites/Inter Arma tour. Check out that new song stream, some video, the tour flyer and all dates below.
