Like an unexpected hot breath on the back of your neck, the opening strains of Weapon’s Embers and Revelations quickens your heartbeat and makes your hair stand on end. Suddenly the tone shifts as layered riffs and rough blackened growls of vocalist Vetis Monarch come into play.
Just from the first minute of the first track,”The First Witnesses Of Lucifer”, it’s clear Weapon’s inaugural release on Relapse holds back nothing, as these Canadian blackened death metallers follow through and wallop their way through the remaining seven tracks.
Embers and Revelations will be available in full on October 9th, but until then you can hear each and every track below. We also have one copy of the album up for grabs; to enter for your chance to win, let us know in the comments below about your favorite ode to Satan, musical or otherwise. This contest and stream will end at Midnight on October 9th. You must have a mailing address in the US or Canada to enter.

“At War With Satan” by Venom. There are so very, very many myriad reasons.
Stryper-To Hell With The Devil
I believe this post can now be closed.
Satan Is Real by the Louvin Brothers
More Satanically Satanic than any other Satanic song.

Sympathy for the Devil-The Rolling Stones
“N.I.B.”
Much more recently, the title track off Midnight’s _Satanic Royalty_ is a real winner. The combination of sleazy, sneered vocals and catchy guitar licks seems like a good way to seduce the unwary.
Mercyful Fate’s “Melissa” stands above Heavy Metal as its own priceless, perfect work of art. It is a literally flawless album that takes me to another world. Those majestic riffs…
You’re Mine – John Entwistle

I think seeing as how this album marks a shift for the band towards a more Death Metal sound, what better ode to Satan than Immolation – Close to A World Below.

“From The Devil’s Tomb” wasn’t a shift to death metal for the band ?
Satan’s Fall.
Daemonium Vobiscum by Mortem (peru)
Inquisition’s Those of the Night
“Black priest speaks
All Hail Thee!
Bring to me Blasphemy
Chanting to the Bringer of Sin ”

The Oath by Mercyful Fate. just simply the best.
Ghost’s Opus Eponymous.
NanKing by Exodus was one of the darkest songs I have heard recently. The fact that there was so much dark stuff happening with the events that surrounded it was truly black and dark as hell.
The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov
This is the Matt that I know.
I cannot be otherwise no matter what you do, yarr matey.
MORBID ANGEL, “Blessed Are The Sick”
(the music as well as anything else included in the package, like the amazing painting).
There are plenty of great metal songs about Satan. Let me tell you a story about how I heard the most evil song ever.
A couple of weeks ago I headed down to the local metal concert to see my favorite band Satanic Skullfuck perform their hit song “Goatfisted Up The Butt By Satan.” I ordered a designated driver-approved nonalcoholic beverage from the bar, ready to bang my head repeatedly. Unfortunately in my haste to headbang, my skull rebounded ‘gainst the greasy gut of the nearest Pantera poser, rendering me completely unconscious.
After an undetermined amount of time I awoke, chained to the wall in the venue’s stank basement. My eyes focused on a blood-soaked, candle-lit altar in the center of the room. A severed goat’s head hung suspended above the ceiling. Seven cloaked and hooded figures entered the room, heading straight for me. They unchained my hands, dragging me toward the altar. I screamed for help but the security guys are kind of dicks and they already hate me because I tried to buy beer with an expired Mexican tourist driver’s license.
As I neared the altar, one of the hooded emissaries of evil produced an iPod from within the folds of his robe. He pressed the play button and the venue’s PA system began to blast the greatest musical piece of shit ever forged in the fires of Hell itself – Gavin DeGraw’s “Not Over You.” Lucifer himself laughed at my misfortune.
I thrashed and headbanged until one of the figures lost his grip on me. I ripped off his hood, revealing none other than Dave fuckin’ Matthews and the rest of his Band. Those evil fuckheads! I should’ve known. I kicked Dave right in his soulless crotch, placing him in a chokehold and demanding to know his evil plot.
“We were gonna replace every heavy metal song in the world with Gavin DeGraw, and we would’ve gotten away with it if it weren’t for you meddling kids.”
I looked around, confused. “Dude, I’m the only one here.”
“Oh shit, I guess you’re right man. It’s been a long tour and I’ve been smokin’ a lot of reefer.”
I choked Dave unconscious, skullfucked his corpse and returned to the metal show. To my horror, the guitarist had broken his finger in the mosh pit! I stalked toward the stage. The Only Cute Metal Chick In The Entire World grabbed ahold of my biceps, demanding that I sign her luscious boobage. “Not today, baby. I got a show to save.”
I grabbed ahold of the nearest guitar, raising it above my head and summoning the power of Thor. Lightning struck my whammy bar as I delivered the most hellacious and flawless cover of Iron Maiden’s “Number of the Beast” ever performed. Satan himself arose from the depths of hell to fist bump me and present me with a two-for-one coupon to Chilis.
Anyway, that’s the story of how I saved heavy metal and survived hearing the most evil song ever recorded.
Les Litanies de Satan from Les Fleurs du mal of Charles Baudelaire.

by the way I’m from mexico, and If you give a chance to participate. I could pay the shipping charges if I win (of course)
Devil got my woman, by Skip James.
Not an entry, but: Chief Rebel Angel – Entombed
I’ll go with the movie “The Devil’s Advocate”, Satan at his best!
Hour Of 13 – Call To Satan.
Bad ass riffs, bad ass lyrics.
“From the abyss please hear thy call
lord and master ruler of all
god of age hear what I sing
king of the darkness in everything
oh satan the adverse one
slanderer of favored son
oh great hero of hopeless ruin
bring your wickedness and doom
in the circle here I stand
naked in wait in the pentagram
with sacred blade self mutilate
to my own wounds I masturbate
in a sweat and semen soaked
surrounded haze of insence smoke
an offering whos bowels be let
it´s carcass placed on chantry set
in spoken tongues the songs I sing
along with thes solomn bells to ring”
I’m not in US though, so this is not an entry…
Ghost – “Opus Eponymous”
Judas Iscariot-The Black Clouds Roll Under the Parapet of the Sky. Makes most other band’s Satanic lyrics seem silly in comparison.
Det Som En Gang Var (song) – Burzum
Although he may not have been a satanist per se, I think he deserves a spot on here.
Deathspell Omega – Diabolus Absconditus
The Exorcist, 1973
where would we be without it??
“The Arrivals of Satan’s Empire”
by Dark Funeral
“Angel tears fall to the ground, as Satan again will reign”.
Every day I exist in this plane is an ode to Satan. Am I Evil by Diamond Head is a good one.
Watain composes my favorite Satanic lamentations. Both album and song “Sworn to the Dark” is the track that especially stands out because it was my first exposure to Watain roughly five years ago. The guttural vocals, breakneck pace of the playing and blasphemous declarations make “Sworn to the Dark” an especially memorable and irreverent ode. Spells beneath the laws of men, raging fires, oaths to the temple of the damned, human entrails, buried swords and twisted crosses pollute the lyrical landscape. It brings a smile to my face listening to “Sworn to the Dark.”
Slayer’s Reign in Blood is damn fine ode to Satan.
Obscure, but no doubt… SABBATH ASSEMBLY – “Hymn of Consecration”
“Behead the Prophet (No Lord Shall Live)” is of course a classic. Untie our world from Satan? You know it can’t be done!
God of Forbidden Light – Dissection!
My favorite satanic ode is a little song by Him called Your Sweet 666.
Belketre-A Day Will Dawn
Morbid Angel – CHAPEL OF GHOULS , you fools.
Vital Remain’s “Dechristianize” will forever be one of my all time favorite Satanic death metal songs. The solo in that song give me goosebumps every time. The raw anger and pure emotion involved in that entire album, hell, the entire band itself will never cease to amaze me.
Paradise Lost (the epic poem by Milton, not the band). 1667.
“Better to headbang in hell than serve in heaven.”
Bathory- The return of darkness and evil off of the Scandinavian Attack Comp. The prefect combination of evil, power and catchiness. The return of my master SATANNN!
easy one. ”I’ll Be Your Ghost”, The Devil’s Blood.
My favorite blasphemous band out there today is Nunslaughter and one of their best songs is “Smell The Burning Churches”. The song ends with the line “Burn the fucking church felling Satan’s might” which is one hell of an ode to Satan.
