But here we are in 2012, and they’ve once again risen to Reign Supreme over the American Death Metal scene with their seventh full-length record.

Killing on Adrenaline. More focused and punishing than Destroy the Opposition. There’s a song called Kill Your Mother Rape Your Dog and an Integrity cover. Perfect death metal record, one of my all-time favorite records of any genre.

‘Grotesque Impalement’ is my favorite offering from Fetus but, if you want to talk about getting my blood pumping in an angry fashion it would probably be ‘War Of Attrition’ because I fucking hated that CD and was pissed that I had my hopes up so high for it. We’re not going to get burned with ‘Reign Supreme’ though, everything I’ve heard sounds amazing! can’t wait to hear it in its entire form.

I’d like to break from the consensus and pick _Killing on Adrenaline_, but _Destroy the Opposition_ just sounds better, so it wins by a (severed) nose.

My answer is absolutely Killing On Adrenaline. The burp vocals. The wet cardboard sounding kick drum. The breakdowns. The blasts! It’s one of the few “brutal” death metal albums I can listen to from front to back. And sometimes on repeat, depending on how long it takes me to come. Plus the Integrity cover at the end? C’mon! How cool is it that Dying Fetus covered a “hardcore” (read: REAL metalcore) band? So cool, you guys. So cool. Killing On Adreline absolutely.
I was late getting into these guys but I have always been a fan of Stop At Nothing. That was the album that got me listening to them.
Destroy the Opposition definitely, ever since Jason Netherton left this band the quality just plummeted and became just “that death metal band the Misery Index dudes used to be in”.

Destroy the opposition – First DF Album I heard, still may favorite!
I’d say my favourite is Destroy the Opposition – Epidemic of Hate alone is one of my favourite songs. With the beyond-simple start riff in contrast with the all-out solo, Jason Netherton’s brilliant vocal backups, and the excellently written drumlines, it becomes a huge deal.
