From Ozzfest to Summer Slaughter Tour to Deathfest, many a metal music festival has come to fruition in recent years. But none can promise the excellent combination of doom, drone, sludge, and black metal that will be defacing the ears of audience members at the first-ever Gilead Media Music Festival in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The stacked festival line-up includes low-end masters Loss, Thou, Ash Borer, False, Fell Voices, and many more. And Invisible Oranges is proud to announce that we are officially co-sponsoring the festival!
The chaos goes down on April 28th and 29th, and Invisible Oranges will keep your Gilead Fest thirst quenched with updated coverage as we anticipate the arrival of these two days of doom.
Tickets are on sale NOW at the cost of $40 for a weekend pass and $23 for individual day passes. All tickets will be held at will-call. Only 250 will be available for each day of the festivities, so get yours right away…they may even sell out during pre-sale!

Cool lineup. Never been jealous of Wisconsin until now.
Fuck fuck fuck. Of all the times in my life to be broke and in debt. I’d be lucky enough to save enough in time to *maybe* fly there. And by then I’m bettin’ on a sellout. Balls.
It’s good you have Mutilation Rites to cut through all of the dopey beard black metal
wait, what? http://www.metal-archives.com/images/3/5/4/0/3540306985_photo.jpg?0126
This is perfect ahahahaha
MR is from NYC and it’s cold there. That’s why they have big beards.
Hey jeremy, if you show up and after flying to WI im sure the dude in charge will sell you a ticket.
Oshkosh? LOLZ.
Next time: NY – CHI – LA
Yeah! Thanks for posting! Steve – there’s a reason I’m doing it here. I considered Chicago, but the label is based Oshkosh and, by design, has operated in relative obscurity in terms of local influence/impact. I’ve been shipping records all over the world for six years, it’s time for people to follow that path back home for a celebration. People here are very eager to help with exciting events like this, it’s much more fun to do it this way than in a big city I have no connection to. This is a DIY label, I’m more concerned with hangouts and a fun, comfortable atmosphere that benefits my local environment, not so much with increasing attendance 300% by doing it in a big city. People that would travel will travel, and the response has been incredible!
It’s almost as if you want to act as a monolith that your fans should travel on a beam towards…
You win the fair day goose, my friend.
Thanks Adam, I applaud you for not going with Chicago or any other big city. The drive from St. Louis will be long but I’m interested to see Osh Kosh. I think it it will be a much more intimate event due to its location. Have desire, will travel!
I’m actually considering driving up from Chicago for this. It should only be ~ 4 hour drive.
We’re trekking up from Chicago. So excited. Also stoked about how cheap our hotel is. Small towns rule.
I wish had the funds to visit any of the rad fests this year. I was looking into MDF, and by the time I had everything covered I’d be looking at a grand easy… not counting food. Or merch, which would be the real death of me!
This fest sounds awesome, though. Not too many bands per day so you can see them all, which is essential, and more importantly, the lineup looks plenty diverse. I’m officially jealous of Wisconsin.
I’ll be there! Flying in from NYC – some things are worth traveling for.
i absolutely back doing this in Oshkosh (even though i love Milwaukee far more) and am stoked to be part of it.
hope to see all sorts of familiar and unfamiliar faces.
Oshkosh this spring, then the Dells this summer!
Would love to see this, Gilead’s line-up is basically flawless. Ash Borer, Fell Voices, and False alone would be enough for me. I would go, and I would buy t-shirts. But alas, I live in Canada, and am broke. One day there will be a cool festival on Vancouver Island. One day.
Will be making the 5 hour drive from Minneapolis for this! Fuck the Packers!
JTronZero… same. East Coast. I even bought the 2-day pass to force myself to put away money to ensure I get there.
I’m coming in from NH, but I’ll be stopping in Chicago first. Carm, where you at??
Unfortunately I am graduated college on these dates. Otherwise I’d probably be there. Traveling for festivals rules. 4busses4satan
Graduating*. Maybe I need to take English 101 again, heh
