Who loves Sepultura?
OK, who loves old Sepultura?
Every one of you.
And who loves cupcakes?
Well, some of you.
I didn’t know those included me until I tried Metalcakes’ recipe for Sepultura cupcakes. Metalcakes is the Internet’s foremost metal-themed cupcake site. The recipe is cunningly called “Beneath the Cookies and Cremains”. Every time I think of that, my day brightens a little.

As the recipe’s title implies, the Oreo cookie is the star of this cupcake. Crumbled, it forms part of the frosting. Halved, it forms the bottom of each cupcake. Brilliant! Normally, eating a cupcake is an endeavor of diminishing returns. But this cupcake offers a happy, crunchy surprise at its end. It’s not hard to make, either. For the recipe and super-pretty pictures, see here.

Some friends of mine here at my job are mastering this recipe. Metalcakes is such a…sweet place for metal!
lml !!!
Wow, that’s an awesome blog, thanks sharing!
This metal and cooking trend is the least br00tal thing ever but I love it. I need to try some of those recipes.
I don’t know about you, Graeme, but there are some recipes inside Hellbent for Cooking that are brutal as fuck. If you ever have the opportunity to read it you will be like this –> lml the whole time you’re in the kitchen!!
I love Hellbent for Cooking. If you click on my name you will see the Slaughter chicken wings I recently cooked.
Metal + cooking = stupid idea. What’s next, heavy metal designer furniture? Unless you have H.R. Giger designing it, it would be as useless and Metal cooking.
I was asked to contribute to some ‘metal cooking’ book and couldn’t even imagine agreeing to the request. It seems a lot of bands took it less seriously then I did.
Excellent photo! These cupcakes completely satisfied my urge for Oreos for the next decade. I am thinking Wee Cakes of the Snowgoat should be up next.
@Eric Syre: I don’t know what’s not serious in something as natural as eating. Cooking can be a plasure as metal is, I think. Mixing both things looks like a rewarding activity.
Daaawww… Thanks for the compliments kids!
I can’t believe my favorite metal blog knows about my blog. It’s so flattering!
Kathy
Ps
Your cakes looks great! I’m glad they turned out tasty!
Thanks, Kathy, for the recipe. The cupcakes were a big hit all around!
