I was one of the Nile voters. I don't think I am ready to forgive Nile for the last album. I was more curious about whether this is actually a return to form. I heard the early buzz that the detailed liner notes are back and such. I just got my copy in the mail today, so I am going to throw it momentarily, after I finish listening to the new Pelican (which I am digging). Also, I missed that Brown Jenkins was on the November releases. I picked up Dagonite and Angel Eyes on the cheap per your twitter heads-up. Hugely impressed. I probably would have went w/ Brown Jenkins over Katatonia for my 2nd pick.

You're probably right about that. But when I ask for reader feedback or contest entries, and they go to my inbox, the results are always chaotic and sometimes unmanageable for my inbox. Shunting them to the comments is better for my sanity, as well as encouraging readers to interact with each other.

hm, next time if you do this make it so people send you private e-mails, just to see if the results would be more varied.

My only experience with Gaza is their last record, I Don't Care Where I Go When I Die. That's one of the few records that has actually scared me.

I think a lot of people got turned on to Gaza this summer due to a semi-legendary performance at Dude Fest in Indiana.

Their mathcore elements probably keep them from being listed in Encyclopedia Metallum.

What's the big deal with Gaza? I couldn't find a Wikipedia article and they're not listed in the Encyclopedia Metallum. Anyone care to care to share a Gaza experience with me?
