While weighed down with some filler, The Graveyard has some killer songs. "Heads on the Wall" and "Trick or Treat" are classic KD. King Diamond/Mercyful Fate did a co-headline tour that year. I believe Mercyful Fate was touring for Into the Unknown. King pulled double duty, insane! Imagine if they did that now. With KD being ironically hip, they could play some big halls.

Hi there

As a long term lurker and first time poster you can probably imagine my delight at seeing my humble piece of MS Paint art staring at me from my favourite metal blog. Very pleasantly suprised indeed.

Whilst I'd like to think I was subtle enough to reference the Omen with the odd lines they're a feature of using MS Paint, they pop up on lot os other pictures I made in MS Paint too. You can find them here

Anyhoos thanks for resparking my love for heavy metal and continuing to highlight gems that are constantly making me part with money.

Cheers

Simon

king diamond is truly one of the worst embarrassments we've had to endure as metalheads, thanks to a couple of goosebumps fans that paid for his ridiculous over the top comedic high pitched squeals. Man, do I ever hate you people!

Thanks for this. I've largely ignored King between In the Shadows and The Puppet Master, so I guess I've got some 'splorin' to do. Calling Kim and Andy the Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing of metal is perfect.

What if, instead of Andy Larocque remastering these, they had Metallica re-record them instead?
