I like this album a lot, too, and when I emailed Martin a few questions for Metal Edge, I was surprised by the down-to-earth and humorous answers I got. A good guy – the metal scene could use more like him.

Thanks for the kind words, evanz. This record has actually grown on me, too. At first I found its production a bit shiny, but its raw materials end up coming through.

Helm, I don’t know Pentacle, but given the Asphyx connection, I’m intrigued. Dutch death metal is in general a good thing.

I guess it takes a 41-year old these days to give metal a breath of fresh air. This song, at least, does indeed sound like a throwback to the early 90’s – what’s that? – a human drummer I hear? I’ll definitely be picking this album up. Nice interview Cosmo.

Great interview. One of the best death metal vocalists ever in my book. Right up there with David Vincent, Aaron Stainthorpe, Martin Matzak from Torchure, and John Tardy. I’m really glad to see he’s a down to earth type of dude in person.
